Obituary

Opal Marie Robinett, age 96, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Tuscumbia on November 3, 1919, daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Clark) Wyrick. On October 21, 1938, Opal married James Ervin Robinett, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2003.

Opal and her late husband James worked together on their farm, raising chickens, turkeys, and milked grade A cows. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family and friends.

Opal was member of Mt. Zion Christian Church in Tuscumbia.

She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Musick Miekley and husband Gene of Purdy and Judy Patterson and husband Marvin of Ulman; six grandchildren, Dennis Patterson (Connie), Steve Patterson (Rhonda), Scott Patterson (Benita), Vickie Holmes (Greg), Jeff Musick (Donna), and Stephani Leverich (Tom); 18 great-grandchildren, Jessica Roy (Keith), Katie Bax (Dan), Victoria Hagerman (Devin), Logan Patterson (Hannah), Nicole Hawken (Greg), Chantell Jenkins (Justin), Ethan Patterson (Elizabeth), Mara Clement, Tristen Patterson, Benton Patterson, Tyler Patterson, Levi Holmes (Whitney), Cody Holmes, Christopher Musick (Sadie), James Musick, Tyler Musick, Zac Leverich, and Liz Leverich; 14 great-great-grandchildren, Ann Roy, Grayson and Lila Bax, Lane and Landon Patterson, Tierra and Tatum Hawken, Trace Lee and Oaklee Jenkins, Eleah Patterson, Addie and Ellie Holmes, and Ruby and Harvey Musick; and two great-great- grandchildren due this summer.

She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Curtis Musick; one great-grandson, James Ernest Eugene Patterson; great-great-granddaughter, Shaylee Sue Jenkins; four brothers, Arthur, Malachi, Charles, and Warren Wyrick; and three sisters, Blanche Wyrick, Ethel Wiley, and Mabel Denzl.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bill Vernon and Charlie Worstell will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia.
