Orville Gene Keeth, age 82, of Crocker, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born on January 18, 1929, son of the late Edward and Ella (Pemberton) Keeth. On May 31, 1958, near Crocker, Orville married Elsie Jean Robinett, who survives at the home.
Orville proudly served his country in the 14th Combat engineers of the United States Army in Korea during the Korean War. He then worked a farm raising turkeys and cattle for many years and also worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a member of the American Legion Post 105 and the VFW Post 6167 in Iberia, where he had served as commander. Orville was also a member of Missouri Farm Bureau and the Church of Christ.
He is also survived by one son, Michael Keeth and wife Diana of Iberia; one step granddaughter, Christina Johnson of Iberia; five step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Icle Plemmons of Iberia and Inis Kissinger of Crocker; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, November 18, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
