Obituary

Patricia Ann (Gardner) Hill, age 68, of Iberia, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.  She was born on July 7, 1955, daughter of the late Harold and Wilma Lee (Shelton) Gardner.  On November 30, 1996, Patricia was united in marriage to Robert A. Hill, who survives at their home.

Patricia loved spending time outdoors fishing and mushroom hunting. She was a homemaker and she loved to cook, especially for large crowds and taking care of her family members. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She had a huge Christian heart and the best hugs and always willing to help others in need. She was a selfless woman, always thinking of others. Despite her health problems and overcoming many obstacles, she always had the love in her heart to spread to others. She was always telling people about Jesus and prayed for them daily. She accepted the Lord at a very young age and was a member of Hickory Point Baptist Church where she performed many duties for the Lord. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend that will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

Her beautiful motto: Give Thanks Today for having a family that loves me for who I am. For the word of God we can learn more from him. For bringing friends closer each day. For the food we get so we get strong and grow stronger with God. From the freedom to pray so we can spend more time with you. Count your blessings one by one.

In addition to her husband, Robert Hill, she is also survived by her son, Geoffrey Pemberton; daughter, Laci (Terry) Cochran; six grandchildren, Chelsea Pemberton, Gavin Pemberton, Izzy Cochran, Angel Roark, Tyler Hill, and Mikael Matthews; one great-grandchild, Barrett Pemberton; sister, Kimberely (Jeffery) Duncan; sister-in-law, Sharon Gardner; daughter-in-law, Stacy Pemberton; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Pemberton; stepdaughter, Gena Matthews; and brother, Danny Gardner.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Hickory Point Cemetery with Brandon Kissinger officiating.
