Patsy Lorene (Brockes) Visser, age 73, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her home. She was born in Tuscumbia on December 6, 1947, daughter of the late Samuel Brockes and Bonnie (Bilyeu) Bax.

Patsy loved spending time outdoors with her animals, gardening, and tending to her flowers. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family, especially to her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. Patsy was a devoted member of Crossroads Baptist Church near Ulman.

She is survived by five children, Donnie (Samantha), Visser, Sam (Diane)Visser, PeeWee (Janell) Visser, Dale Visser, and Wayne (Chris) Visser; three stepchildren, Bob Visser, Glen Visser, and William Visser; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Leon Moore, Harold Brockes, Kathy Lepper, Pam Bax, Joe Bax, Denise York, and Arlene Ghumm; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Brockes and William Bax Jr., and one sister, Karen McPeak.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. David Visser officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Bilyeu Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Baptist Church.
