Paula Ann (Adkins) Jeffries, age 72, of Iberia, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Carter County on April 12, 1942, daughter of the late Paul and Edith (Jacob) Adkins. On June 9, 1976, in Miller County, Paula married Wayland Jeffries, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2004.

Paula was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Nazareth Inc. where she served as an ordained minister from 1984 until 2004.

She is survived by one daughter, Eyde Long and husband Andy of Iberia; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Turner of St. Louis and Sue Aphin and husband Leon of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and one brother, Mike Adkins of Poplar Bluff.

She was also preceded in death by two children, Charlie DeClue and Ronnica Cochran; three sisters, Alberta Beavers, Violet Smith, and Judy Freukes; and one brother, Thomas Adkins.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, at Jarrett Cemetery near Iberia. Bro. Jon Skiles will officiate.
