Pauline Omega Hicks, age 100, of Iberia, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Iberia on July 20, 1914, daughter of the late Everett and Emma (Rowden) Jones. On April 25, 1934, in Iberia, Pauline married Harry Hicks, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1997.

Pauline was a member of Iberia Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by four sons, Jack Hicks and wife Kathy of Iberia, Layne Hicks and Marianne Denny of Washington, Robert Hicks of Mexico, and Glenn Hicks and wife Donna of St. Peters; two daughters, Naomi Umfleet and husband Noel of Crocker and Paula Hicks of Iberia; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, James Hicks, Sr. and one infant son, Larry Wayne Hicks.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Pastor B.J. Thelander will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
