Pauline Edna Rowden, age 99, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born in Miller County on March 10, 1913, daughter of the late Leonard and Effie (Cross) Berry. Pauline was married to Charley Rowden, who preceded her in death on January 29, 1977.
Pauline was a school teacher and taught at St. Anthony, St. Elizabeth, and Berry School. She was a member of the MSTA and Brays Advent Christian Church in Iberia.
She is survived by one son, Joe Rowden and wife Brenda of Iberia; one daughter, Lois Jarrett and John Mason of Iberia; six grandchildren, Jeff Jarrett of Iberia, Matt Rowden and wife Jessica of Jefferson City, Monte Rowden and wife Sherry of Jefferson City, Jada Shipp and husband Mike of Jefferson City, Travis Eichelberger of Jefferson City, and Troy Eichelberger and wife Rebecca of Centertown; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Guy Berry and Allen Berry.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Manuel Seaton will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.
