Peter "Pete" David Schlingman Jr., age 66, of Moberly, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center. He was born in St. Louis on April 30, 1956, son of the late Peter David Schlingman Sr. and Shirley Jane (Wisdom) Schlingman.

Pete was employed as an over the road professional truck driver with various trucking companies for numerous years.

He is survived by his children, Rebecca Jeffries and husband Matt and Matthew Schlingman and wife Tabitha; three grandchildren; mother, Shirley Schlingman; sister, Beth Ewers and husband Jerry; sister-in-law, Trisha Schlingman; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Schlingman and brother, Paul Schlingman.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Pete's final wishes were to be cremated. No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth.
