Phillip S. Hurtubise, age 75, of Eldon, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at his home. He was born in Eldon on August 26, 1931, a son of the late Phillip Arnold and Dortha (Bacom) Hurtubise. On July 13, 1952, in Harrison, Arkansas, he was married to Patsy J. Clark, who survives at the home.
He served with Osage Beach Fire Department in excess of 35 years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
Others who survive him include: seven children, Phyllis Ann Nies and husband Lloyd of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dortha J. Holt and husband Dennis of Dearborn, Phillip S. Hurtubise, Jr. and wife Connie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, E. Kay Patterson and husband Lonnie of Eldon, James R. Hurtubise and wife Karen of Eldon, Steven P. Hurtubise of Eldon and F. Kevin Hurtubise and wife Debbie of Eldon; 4 brothers and sisters, 13 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren.
One step grandson, Brian Michael Hunt and one brother, Roger Hurtubise, also preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Rev. Colleen Carroll will officiate. Interment will be in Boltz Cemetery near Kaiser.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
