Ralph Edward Forbis, age 84, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born in Dixon on September 16, 1941, son of the late William “Bill” and Vivian (Beal) Forbis. On July 12, 1965, in Tuscumbia, Ralph was united in marriage to Marjorie Faye Robinett, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2011.

Ralph found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He especially enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, being outdoors, and sharing time with his family and friends. A hardworking and dependable man, Ralph devoted more than 30 years to working for Allied Waste.

He is survived by two daughters, Tina Russell (Joey) and Tammy Ash; four grandchildren, Gail Russell, Christina Yother, Darin Ash, and Mindie Haars; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marjorie Forbis, sister, Ruby Russell; grandson, Tad Russell; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Russell.

A graveside service celebrating the life of Ralph will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Freedom Cemetery near Dixon.
