Ralph Holtmeyer, age 63, of St. Anthony, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at his home. He was born in Miller County, on April 12, 1945, son of Conrad and Hedwig (Herx) Holtmeyer.
Ralph was an Army veteran of Vietnam. He worked as a mechanic for Larry Apperson Construction and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberlie Baxley of Dothan, Alabama; three grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Buechter of St. Anns and Marcella Bock of Meta; and five brothers, Raymond Holtmeyer of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, Harold Holtmeyer of St. Anthony, Bernard Holtmeyer of St. Anthony, Danny Holtmeyer of St. Anthony, and Roman Holtmeyer of Meta.
He was preceded by his parents and four brothers, Victor Holtmeyer, Ignatius Holtmeyer, James Holtmeyer, and Al Holtmeyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony. Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Interment with military honors under the direction of Iberia VFW Post 6167 and American Legion Post 105 will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the St. Anthony Parish Hall with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ralph Holtmeyer Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
