Obituary
Raymond James Shurson, age 78, of Eldon, died Friday, February 29, 2008, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing in Jefferson City. He was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa on January 15, 1930, a son of the late Sam and Salina (Lundberg) Shurson. On August 24, 1996, in Eldon, he was married to Mary Louise Johnson, who survives at the home.
Raymond was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Others who survive him include: two children, Lyle Groves and wife Sarah of Eldon and Pam Kempf and husband Randy of Jefferson City; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
One brother and three sisters, also preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Pastor Pete Lange will officiate.
