Regina B. Massman, age 87, of St. Elizabeth, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. She was born in St. Elizabeth on July 31, 1919, a daughter of the late Henry W. and Johanna (Luebbert) Steinman. On May 3, 1941, in Glendale, she was married to Frank Joseph Massman, who preceded her in death on January 27, 2001.
Regina was a lifelong resident of St. Elizabeth. She was a homemaker and helped her husband Frank on the family farm. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts.
Those who survive her include: one son, Lawrence Massman and wife Deborah of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Marjorie Fuchs and husband John of Gig Harbor, Washington and Joann Wulff and husband Felix of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, Vincent Steinman of House Springs and Anthony Steinman of Rochester, Minnesota and two sisters, Viola Wolfe of Taos and Sylvia Steinman of St. Louis.
An infant son and daughter; three brothers, Leo, Al and Ambrose Steinman and four sisters, Rita Franklin, Anna Schulte, Theresa Strain and Odelia Branson, also preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Rev. Francis Stuart, OSB will officiate. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m.
