Rhonda Kay Murray, of Iberia, passed away on her 69th birthday on December 26, 2024.  She was born in Tuscumbia, on December 26, 1955, daughter of the late Robert Elvin and Hazel Lorraine (Boan) Murray.

Rhonda was a 1974 graduate of Iberia R-V High School.  Following a year in college, Rhonda went to work at Fort Leonard Wood at the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security until her retirement in 2012.

Rhonda was an avid reader.  She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and going out to eat with family and friends, especially at her favorite Mexican restaurants.  Rhonda loved her family and always kept up to date on her nieces and nephews' lives.

She is survived by two brothers, Dennis (Bev) Murray and Rob (Roberta) Murray; her nieces and nephews, Ian (Megan) Murray, Taylor (Jason) Pemberton, and Collin Murray; five great-nieces and nephews, Nolan Murray, Reed Murray, Adeline Pemberton, Jedson Pemberton, and Tessie Pemberton; and numerous family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her life partner, Roger Shelton.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, December 31, at Iberia Cemetery.
