Robert W. Elliott, age 80, of Eldon, died Friday, August 29, 2008, at his home. He was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma on November 23, 1927, a son of the late Edward and Audry (Hoyt) Elliott. On July 9, 1954, in Porterville, California, he was married to Charlotte Sherwood, who survives at the home.

Robert enjoyed traveling in a motor home and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Oak Street Church of Christ in Eldon.

Others who survive him include: three children, Donald Robert Elliott and wife Donna of Belton, Texas, Kenneth Elliott and wife DeAnn of Eldon and Laurel Ridge and husband Jerry of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Elliott of Fresno, California and two sisters, Ruby McNutt of Crows Landing, California and Effie McKinney of Porterville, California.

One sister, Twila Trott, also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. with services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at the Oak Street Church of Christ in Eldon. Family friend, Lloyd Camp and Brother Jim Bezzler will officiate. Interment will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
