Robert "Bob" Glenn Cochran, age 76, of Brumley, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at his home. He was born in Miller County, on September 21, 1948, son of the late Glenneth and Janice (Pemberton) Cochran. On March 30, 1968, in Pulaski County, Bob was united in marriage to Clara Mae Thornsberry, who preceded him in death on July 1, 2021.
Bob worked for various businesses throughout his working career, including Richline Boat Factory, Brown Shoe Factory, Karl's Market as a butcher, and APAC. He was also employed by Bob Austin with A Team Construction and worked at The Lodge for many years.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who took great pride in his farm and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He possessed a strong work ethic and a kind heart. Bob was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, especially his neighbors. He was affectionately called "Grandpa Bob" by his family and many others who loved him. He was a faithful member of Mt. Union Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sons, Ronnie (Jennifer) Cochran and Russell Cochran; daughter, Robin (Kenda) Humphrey; six grandchildren, Rachel Cochran, Rylee Cochran, Austin Stark, Sammie Cochran, Kenzie (Elijah) Pritchett, and Danny Humphrey; two great-grandchildren on the way; sister, Rita Witt; and a host of family and friends.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Clara, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Cochran.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with funeral service immediately following at 12 (noon), on Monday, November 25, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Robert Dover officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery in Brumley.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Union Cemetery.
