Obituary

Robert J. Lueckenhoff, age 71, of St. Elizabeth, died Thursday, August 30, 2007, after a brief illness. He was born in St. Elizabeth on June 3, 1936, son of Frank and Sophie (Brenneke) Lueckenhoff. On November 9, 1957, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth, he was married to Mildred C. Borgmeyer, who preceded him in death on December 11, 2002.

He was a farmer and operated a gravel hauling business for many years. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son, Curtis Lueckenhoff of Jefferson City; three daughters, Carol Plank and husband Bill of Marys Home, Sandy Lueckenhoff of Jefferson City, and Ann Wieberg and husband Ivan of St. Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Ethan Wieberg and Kaitlin Wieberg; one step grandson, Bill Plank Jr.; two brothers, Alfred Lueckenhoff of Jefferson City and Jim Lueckenhoff of St. Elizabeth; three sisters, Marie Dwight of Holts Summit, Martha Sanning of Jefferson City, and Alma Blomberg of St. Anthony; and close family friend, Dr. Elizabeth Conley.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe and Herman Lueckenhoff; and two sisters, Martina Morff and Genevieve Kimball.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Rev. Francis Stuart, OSB, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:30-8:00 p.m. on Friday at the St. Elizabeth Community Center with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
