Robert "Bob" Richards, age 74, of Iberia, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at Phelps County Hospital in Rolla. He was born in Elyria, Ohio on April 5, 1937, son of Leonard and Anne (Roper) Richards. On November 22, 1975, in Springdale, Arkansas, Bob married Virgie Lee Wall, who survives at the home.

Bob is a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. He also worked as an over the road truck driver for many years.

He is also survived by his mother, Anne Roper of Tuscumbia; one daughter, Brenda Bernard and husband Andy of Raeford, North Carolina; two sons, Mike Moore and wife Charolette and Bruce Moore and wife Lisa all of Iberia; nine grandchildren, Ashley Krautz of North Carolina, Jordan Cox of North Carolina, Ryan Stewart of North Carolina, Leslie Moore of Iberia, Evan Moore and wife Lacey of Richland, T.J. Moore and wife Jordan of Iberia, Cody Moore of Iberia, Cooper Moore of Iberia, and Kylee Moore of Iberia; and one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Moore of Richland.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Arthur Richards.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Friday, September 9, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Kevin Blackburn will officiate. Interment will be in Curry Cemetery near Iberia.
