Robert "Bob" Zahnter, age 71, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. He was born in the state of California on March 1, 1941, son of the late Sylvin Levi and Lucy Lee (Gallagher) Zahnter. On June 17, 1980, in Kansas City, Bob married Flora Virginia Wheeler, who survives at the home.
Bob was a member of the First Assembly of God Church near Iberia.
He is also survived by nine daughters, Sherry Frederick of Texas, Mona Zahnter of Crocker, Susan Imler of Crocker, Tina Bailey of Lake Ozark, Tammy Moore of Crocker, Christy Brown of Dixon, Jennifer Baker of Iberia, Priscilla Pemberton of Iberia, and Stacy Zahnter of Iberia; three sons, Tommy Wise of Iberia, Robby Zahnter of Tuscumbia, and Justin Zahnter of Iberia; 40 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sylvia Roudolph of California.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, at the First Assembly of God Church near Iberia. Rev. Chip Sanders and Rev. Jeff Higbie will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Zahnter Memorial Fund.
