Obituary
Roger J. Shelton, age 57, of Iberia, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Lake Regional Health System. He was born in Iberia, on July 12, 1952, son of the late Louie K. and Eleanor C. (Musick) Shelton.
He worked for the Miller County Highway Department and also owned and operated his own dump truck. Roger later worked for the Missouri State Highway Department for 21 years until his retirement in 2004.
He is survived by his life partner, Rhonda; four brothers, Kenneth Shelton of Iberia, Darrell Shelton of Warsaw, Ricky Shelton of Versailles, and Ronnie Shelton of Versailles; two sisters, Donnie Beal of Crocker and Connie Madson of Boone, Iowa; and one half-sister, Bonnie Davis of Crocker.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with services immediately following at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Stan Way will officiate. Interment with military honors under the direction of the Iberia VFW Post 6167 and American Legion Post 105 will be in the Iberia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
