Roger Lee Plemmons, age 69, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Pulaski County, on August 16, 1953, son of the late Russell Wayne and Icel Dean (Keeth) Plemmons.  On May 3, 1975, at Concord Christian Church, Roger was united in marriage to Rita Coleen Lawrence, who survives at their home.

Roger never shied away from hard work and was always to lend a hand to anyone in need.  In addition to working for Stanton Manufacturing for over 20 years, he also tended to his farm where he raised turkey and cattle.  Back in the day, Roger enjoyed volunteering his time as his daughter's little league coach and in more recent years he loved watching his grandchildren's sporting activities.  He was their greatest fan!.  Roger was an avid hunter, and loved the time spent with his family and friends.  Roger was a man of deep faith and was a devoted member of Concord Christian Church near Iberia.

In addition to his loving wife, Coleen Plemmons, he is also survived by two daughters, Beth (J.R.) Piggott and Julie (Cody) England; four grandchildren, Colten (Lexi) Piggott, Hunter Piggott, Alaina England, and Weston England; great-grandson, Rhett Piggott; four brothers, Gary (Patti Anderson) Plemmons, Jerry (Joyce) Plemmons, Russell (Ruby) Plemmons, and Rick (Stephanie) Plemmons; two sisters, Rhoda Byrd and Trudy Ash; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Willie Byrd Jr. and Jody Ash; and one sister-in-law, Debra Plemmons.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, February 11, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Brandon Kissinger officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery near Iberia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
