Roger Kliethermes, age 65, of St. Elizabeth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born in Tuscumbia, on January 25, 1959, son of the late Herbert Frank and Ludmilla (Struemph) Kliethermes.  On October 10, 2003, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Roger was united in marriage to Shirley Temmen, who survives at their home.

Big Rog, as he was affectionately known, was a gentle giant with a kind heart and was well liked by everyone.  He loved Sudoku and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Mizzou fan.  Big Rog had a passion for the outdoors where he enjoyed cutting wood and working on the farm.  He was a graduate of St. Elizabeth R-IV and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth.

In addition to his loving wife, Shirley Kliethermes, he is also survived by his daughter, Shanley Kliethermes; son, John (Abby Rademan) Kliethermes; four brothers, Don (Lucy) Kliethermes, David (Delphine) Kliethermes, Dennis (Doris) Kliethermes, and Ralph Kliethermes; one sister, Joann (Alan) Evers; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 11, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth with Fr. Christopher Aubuchon officiating.  Interment will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery in St. Elizabeth.

If Big Rog ever bought you a beer, the family would like you to join them after the graveside service at the St. Elizabeth Community Center for one last Stag on him.
