Roger E. Tye, age 47, of Barnett, died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Lake Regional Hospital. He was born in Kansas City on January 29, 1959, a son of the late Everrett Norman and Joyce (Gaggens) Tye. On August 22, 1992, in Barnett, he was married to Patricia Kirkpatrick, who survives at the home.
He was a self-employed carpenter and attended Church of the Nazarene in Eldon.
Others who survive him include: three sons, Anthony Tye of Houston, Texas, Billy Tye of the home and Jesse Jones and wife Arlene of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; three daughters, Vanessa (Jones) Azuara and husband Jorge of Otterville, Brandi Jones of Eldon and Christy Tye of Jefferson City; six grandchildren; four brothers, George Tye of Eldon, Roy Tye and wife Jo of Texas, Terry Gaggens of Kansas City and David Tye of Columbia and four sisters, Linda Stark of Benton, Illinois, Sarah Groves and husband Lyle of Eldon, Rose Pitchford and husband Jack of Gainesville and Phyllis Millam of Eldon.
One sister, Susan Tye, also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 10-12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, with services immediately following at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Rev. Jerry Frye will officiate. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Roger E. Tye Memorial Fund.
