Ron H. Horn, age 76, of St. Thomas formerly of St. Charles County, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at his home. He was born in Bernie, MO, on April 5, 1942, son of the late Edwin and Mary Lou (Horn) Lock. On June 23, 1962, in Clayton, Ron married Carole L. Waldschmidt, who survives at their home.

Ron attended Berkley High School in St. Louis. After graduation Ron went to work at General Motors, where he was employed for 31 years and later at Jefferson City Auto for 11 years. Ron also started a landscaping business that lasted ten years.

In addition to his wife, Carole Horn, he is also survived by one son, Edwin H. Horn; four grandchildren, Nathan Horn, Jolene Horn, Melissa White, and Matthew White; and one daughter-in-law, DeeAnna L. Horn.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Diana Elliott; granddaughter, Amber Okai; and his father and mother-in-law, Henry and Josephine Waldschmidt.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 5, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta with Dale Beasterfield officiating.
