Obituary
Ronald Eugene "Geno" Atwell, age 81, of Eldon, died Monday, November 12, 2007, at the Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Iberia on July 16, 1926, son of Archie Loren and Electa Ann (Thompson) Atwell.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two brothers, Carl Atwell of Barnett and J.R. Atwell of Eldon and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dennis, Barthol, and Bill Atwell; and five sisters, Cleo Gardner, Dean Smith, Lucille Earp, Wanda Burnett, and Maxine Atwell.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. James Hedrick will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
