February 11, 1941 – November 25, 2022
Ronald Lee King, age 81, of Brumley, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. He was born in Tuscumbia, on February 11, 1941, son of the late Marion "Bob" King Jr. and Leota Faye (Plemmons) King. On July 1, 1960, at the Church of Christ in Brumley, Ronald was united in marriage to Faye Louise Robinett, who survives.
Ronald was an avid fisherman, participating in countless fishing tournaments, and enjoyed hunting, especially coon hunting. He took great pride in his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He spent most of his working career as a cement mason with the Local 368 Union, and later worked at Iberia R-V School in the custodian department. Ronald was a faithful member of Concord Christian Church.
In addition to his loving wife, Faye King, he is also survived by five children, Mark (Donna) King of Ulman, Lawanna (Rusty) Long of Iberia, Angela (Mark) Wall of Iberia, Matt King of Doniphan, and Cindy (Chad) Robinett of Brumley; 10 grandchildren, Cody Wall, Chasity England, Casey Wall, Joshua King, Chelsey Wilson, Brittaney Mitchell, Julia Robinett, Marissa Kessler, Charly Stark, and Ashley Bennett; 20 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Randy (LaDeann) King, Brenda (Gaylord) McDaniel, and Linda (James) Kaiser; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger King.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, at Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating.
