Ronald "Ron" LeRoy Meyer, age 72, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.

He was born and raised in Miranda, South Dakota on December 15, 1950, to Wilbur and Avis (Steiner) Meyer.  He graduated from Faulkton High School in 1969.  Ron worked in the Miranda area as a farm hand until 1973 when he moved to Missouri and was employed by and resided with Walley Janssen and Arville Thum.

On April 1, 2017, in Iberia, Ron was united in marriage to Kemberley Kay Masterson, who preceded him in death on September 4, 2021.

Ron loved attending auctions and enjoyed taking fishing trips to Canada and pheasant hunting in South Dakota.  Ron cherished his family, especially his grandchildren who were the greatest joy of his life.

He is survived by stepdaughter, Amber Russell of Iberia; stepson, Jason (Josie) Russell of Iberia; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Donna (Tom) Russell of Paris, TX, Cindy (Brian) Beard of Aberdeen, SD, and Teresa (Lonnie) Lewis of Aberdeen, SD; two brothers, Daryl (Marilyn) Meyer of Colby, KS and Terry (April) Meyer of Parkston, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to his loving wife, Kem, he was also preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Avis Meyer.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Chip Sanders officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date.
