Rosa D. Bax, age 101, of St. Elizabeth, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at the St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born on November 14, 1907, in St. Anthony, daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Blomberg) Braun. On November 11, 1924, in St. Anthony, she married August G. Bax, who preceded her in death on August 13, 1997.

She is survived by two sons, Norman J. Bax and wife Lenore of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Giles A. Bax and wife Patricia of St. Petersburg, Florida; ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Lorraine Bax.

She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a. m. on Saturday, November 29, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
