Obituary

RoseMary Christine Luebbering, age 85, of St. Thomas, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Koeltztown on April 3, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph and Vernita (Kempker) Woehr.  On June 2, 1956, in Koeltztown, RoseMary was united in marriage to Ralph Anton Luebbering, who preceded her in death on December 26, 1989.

RoseMary was active in her community.  She was a member of the St. Thomas Quilting Club and a faithful member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.  She started her working career at Ottenheimer & Company and retired from Scholastic in Jefferson City after many years of dedicated employment.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing, and cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons, Leroy Luebbering, Wilfred Luebbering, Ronald (Julie) Luebbering, and Randy Luebbering; four daughters, Delores (Alan) Holtmeyer, Diane (Ronald) Blomberg, Linda Luebbering, and Susan (Kris) White; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren with one great-grandchild on the way; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Rita (Lester) Kempker of Taos and Nancy (Bill) Weed of Fulton; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Engelmeyer and Monica Luebbering; and numerous family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Debbie Luebbering; sister, Salma Hoeller; grandson-in-law, James Flannery; infant siblings, Bernard and Alice; and numerous family members from the Luebbering side.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 7, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Leonard Mukiibi officiating.  Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
