Rosemary (Carrender) Pendleton, age 79, of St. Elizabeth, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born in Mt. Pleasant on March 1, 1931, daughter of the late Clyde E. and Eula (Byrd) Carrender. On June 9, 1949 at the First Christian Church in Eldon, Rosemary married John C. Pendleton, who survives at the home.

She worked for 20 years at Langenburg Hat Factory in St. Elizabeth. She loved her flowers, gardening, and especially loved her grandchildren. Rosemary was a member of Tuscumbia First Christian Church.

She is also survived by two daughters, Pam Jarrett and husband Donald of Iberia and Beverly Pendleton of Lake Ozark; five grandchildren, Rebecca Heckemeyer Oleson and husband Kevin of Nixa, Gregory Heckemeyer and wife Christina of Wardsville, Sarah Bax and husband Jerry of St. Elizabeth, Derrick Jarrett and wife Tammi of Iberia, and Monica Cain and husband Randy of Centertown; twelve great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Kehr and husband Don of Eldon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at the Tuscumbia First Christian Church. Rev. Gene Edwards and Rev. Stan Way will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
