Roy Clayton "Chalk" Keeth, age 91, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Panama, Oklahoma, on November 11, 1922, son of the late Elmer and Minnie B. (Lloyd) Keeth. On August 15, 1946, Chalk married Lita Lynn Livingston, who survives at the home.

Chalk graduated from Iberia High School in 1941. He was inducted into the Army Air Corp during WWII serving in the South Pacific on the island of Guam.

He was a member of Iberia Baptist Church, Iberia Masonic Lodge # 410 Am & FM and the Iberia American Legion Post 105.

He served on the Iberia Town Board, Iberia R-V School Board, and the Gascosage Electric Cooperative Board. Chalk worked as a watch maker, carpenter, cafe owner, and school bus driver. He retired from Missouri Department of Conservation in 1986 after 15 years of service.

After retirement he became the "Apple Man". Chalk enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, and fishing.

He is also survived by two sons, William "Bill" Keeth and Larry Keeth both of Iberia; five grandchildren, Sandy Ingersal of Denver, Colorado, Kris Keeth of Camdenton, Cindy Keeth of Camdenton, Zachary Keeth of Springfield, and Shaun Keeth of Iberia; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ersa Tartar of Iberia.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Kent Keeth, and two brothers, Louis Keeth and infant brother, Herbert Jackie Keeth.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at Iberia First Baptist Church. Bro. Charles LaChance will officiate. Interment with military honors under the direction of the Iberia VFW Post 6167 and American Legion Post 105 will be in Iberia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, April 22, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
