Ruby Mary Plemmons, age 84, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Miller County on March 1, 1927, daughter of the late Otto and Alma (Kasterson) Rowden. On February 13, 1946, Ruby married Samuel Dale Plemmons, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1974.

Ruby was a member of the Iberia Community Club and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Dale Plemmons and wife Sue of Ewing, and Steve Plemmons and wife Bonnie of Brumley; two daughters, Judy Buechter and Husband Leo of Brumley and Gloria Olten and Husband Jerry of Linn Creek; six grandchildren, Wes, Lisa, Dale, Jennifer, Becky, and Kevin; eleven great grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Dalton, Kaylee, Olivia, Zack, Josh, Daniel, Ben, Andrew, and Jaden; and one sister Selma Shelton of Iberia.

Her daughter, Gloria Olten, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, David Plemmons, one sister, Verenia Plemmons, and three infant siblings.

Services will be held 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Stan Way will officiate. Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 9, at the funeral home.
