Ruby Lois Plemmons, age 72, of Crocker, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born on December 19, 1952, daughter of the late Hobert Harding and Eula (Mashburn) Lawrence.  On August 10, 1974, at Concord Christian Church, Ruby was united in marriage to Russell Plemmons, who survives at their home.

Ruby found great joy in embroidery and quilting, spending countless hours crafting beautiful pieces that will be treasured by those who loved her, especially the baby and wedding quilts. She incorporated her love for sewing into her career as a seamstress at the Lee Factory.

She loved taking the time to prepare meals, especially for family gatherings and holidays, each dish was made with love and care.  She passed down many family-favorite recipes to her loved ones.  Ruby was a faithful member of Concord Christian Church, who loved her family unconditionally, and had a great love for her dog, Bitty.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Plemmons; three sisters, Sharon Tucker of Richland, Coleen Plemmons of Iberia, and Vickie (David) Miller of Richland; brother, Danny (Penny) Lawrence of Crocker; and a host of brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Eula Lawrence; two sisters, Kathy Goad and Donna Lawrence; brother, Benny Lawrence; brothers-in-law, Roger Plemmons, Robert Goad, and Clifford Tucker.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 7, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Brandon Kissinger officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery near Iberia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Union Cemetery.
