Ruby Delores Roark, age 95, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born on April 7, 1930, daughter of the late Chester and Mary Agnes (Colvin) Patterson. On September 4, 1947, in Iberia, Ruby was united in marriage to Archie Glen Roark, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2003.
Ruby was known for her strong work ethic, dedicating many years to Pryor Novelty, where she took pride in manufacturing a wide variety of items. In her free time, she enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing solitaire. Ruby cherished her dog, Lucy and especially enjoyed spoiling her with treats. She was a devoted member of Ulman Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam (David) Foster of Kennesaw, GA, and Debra (Joe) Schulte of Eugene; two grandchildren, Andrea (Lee) Reeves and Lucas (Becca) Schulte; great-grandchildren, Rylee Reeves, Samuel Schulte, and Jeffrey Schulte; and a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Dorlas Roark, and sister, Grace Barkoski.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon) on Saturday, August 23, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia, with Chet Zuck officiating. A graveside service will follow the visitation Gott Cemetery in Ulman.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Gott cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
