Ruby Louise Ross, age 82, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Golden Living in St. James. She was born in Iberia on March 8, 1933, daughter of the late Owen and Cora (McKee) Morrow. On January 21, 1953, in St. Louis, Ruby married Frederick Ross Jr., who preceded her in death on June 11, 2000.
Ruby owned and operated the Kwik Kopy Print in Osage Beach from 1983 until 2004. She also served on the St. Thomas Babbtown Mutual Insurance Board for several years. Ruby was an active member of Brays Advent Christian Church and also helped facilitate the start of the Iberia Christian Youth Center.
She is survived by one son, Richard Ross of Iberia; two daughters, Cindy Ponder and husband Mark of Iberia and Luwana Tanner and husband Jim of LaVista, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Jill Whitmarsh, Melissa Rolland, Patrick Tanner, Lauren Tanner, Bobby Hertel, and Zach Hertel; seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Juanita Orr of Shelbina and one sister-in-law, Hazel Morrow.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Michael James Hertel, four brothers, and one infant sister, Gladys Lorene Morrow.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 p.m., on Saturday, October 3, at Brays Advent Christian Church. Bro. Brian Duncan will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Iberia.
