Ruby A. Woolery Spearman, age 79, of Iberia, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Watkins on May 13, 1930, daughter of the late Clyde and Ella (Shepherd) McCubbin. On August 28, 1948, in Iberia, she married Theodore Woolery, who preceded her in death on December 7, 1978. On May 15, 1982, in Iberia she married Jack Spearman, who preceded her in death on January 8, 1988.
Ruby volunteered at the Iberia Friendship Hall, was a member of Pleasant Hill, 24 year member of Iberia Chapter 537 Eastern Star, and attended Iberia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, James Woolery and wife Rita of Bates City and Bill Woolery and wife Mary of Columbia; two daughters, Patti Parkins of Jefferson City and Judy Malmberg and husband Tom of Iberia; one daughter-in-law, LeaAna Woolery of Iberia; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Woolery; one great-grandson, Alex Czirr; three brothers; and one sister.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 7, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, at the funeral home.
