Ruth Meryl (Boulware) Pierce, age 84, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. She was born in Pulaski County on January 18, 1932, daughter of the late Willie and Sylvia (Davis) Boulware.
Ruth attended Pleasant Hill Church near Iberia. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two sisters, Norma Nickell Hodge of Independence and Wilma Rowden of Iberia; one granddaughter, Paula Contestabile and husband Dan of Illinois; one grandson, Steven Crabtree of California; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell and Gary Crabtree, five brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Lloyd Wood will officiate. Interment will be in Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.
