Ruth Duncan, age 80, of Lake Ozark, formerly of Iberia, died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Lake Regional Hospital. She was born in Brumley on May 23, 1925, a daughter of Rawl and Alma Ann (Hedrick) DeVore. On July 20, 1943, she was marred to Gene Duncan, who preceded her in death on January 7, 1977.
Survivors include four sons, Shirrel Duncan and wife, Nancie of Osage Beach, Rod Duncan and wife, Susan of Lake Ozark, Rick Duncan and friend, Sheri Tangsrud of Osage Beach, and Dennis Duncan and wife, Monica of Osage Beach; four daughters, Louane Holeyfield and husband, John of Blue Springs, Dorothy Taylor and husband, Dave of Osage Beach, Pam Keeth and husband, Greg of Iberia, and Beverly Luttrell and husband, Terry of Iberia; one brother, Gary DeVore of Brumley; three sisters, Billie Luttrell, Colleen O'Dell, and Melva Plemmons all of Brumley; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jimmy Dale DeVore; and two sisters, Louise Maxine Fry and Ruby Jean Whittle.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Lee Todd will officiate. Interment will be in Curry Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
