Sandra Sue (Hodge) Rowden, age 70, of St. Elizabeth passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Miller County on November 20, 1951, daughter of the late James and Eunice (Farrow) Hodge.  On June 12, 1971, at Humphrey Creek Christian Church in St. Elizabeth, Sandra was united in marriage to Arnold Dale Rowden, who preceded her in death on January 21, 2017.

Sandra retired after years of dedicated work with the U.S. Postal Service. She was a past member of the Humphrey Creek Christian Church and enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching hummingbirds and tending to her flower garden.  Sandra was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who devoted her life to her family and loved them unconditionally.

She is survived by one son, Shawn Rowden and wife Christina of St. Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, Christian Rowden, Amber Flaugher, Brandi DeFrenne, Makayla Fierce, Mariah Moore, Tameron Rowden, and Skylar Rowden; great-grandchildren, Hunter Moore, Beau Moore, Paisley Moore, BlakeLynn Fierce, Jagger Fierce, Bryson Lomax, Octavia Flaugher, and Ophelia Flaugher; sister, Donna Patterson; and numerous family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, LaShannon Rowden; one son, Steven Rowden; and brother, James DeWayne "Wayne" Hodge.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at Jim Matt Lawson Cemetery near Iberia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Jim Matt Lawson Cemetery.
