Sarah Melissa "Missy" (Rodden) Long, age 60, of Iberia, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at her home.  She was born in Tuscumbia on February 8, 1964, the daughter of Franklin and Joyce (Colvin) Rodden.  On August 26, 1982, Missy was united in marriage to Timothy "Tim" Long, who survives at their home.

Missy was co-owner of Cutting Edge Salon.  She enjoyed crocheting and crafting.  She shared her passion for the outdoors with her grandchildren, taking them fishing, horseback riding, zoo trips and countless other activities that created joyful experiences and memories for her family. Missy devoted herself to making holidays and birthdays a memorable time of year.  She was a devoted member of Brumley Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband, Tim Long, she is also survived by two sons, Evan (Barbie) Long and Brady Long; father, Franklin "Bud" Rodden; grandchildren, Sage Long, Brianna Long, and Adriana Long; three sisters, Tina (Dwight) Humphrey, Lisa (Joe) Pemberton, and Jennifer (Ronnie) Cochran; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Rodden.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Madden Cemetery near Iberia with Reggie Kinser officiating.
