Sharon Lelia Usher McVicker, age 83, of Brumley, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Quincy, Illinois, on September 15, 1943, daughter of the late Horace and Hazel (McSorley) Gregory. On June 12, 1982, in Bridgeton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Donald Lee McVicker, who survives at their home.

Sharon earned her bachelor’s degree from Missouri University and later received her master’s degree from Webster University. She devoted 38 rewarding years to education, touching countless lives before retiring from the Pattonville School District in 2001. A dedicated member of the MSTA, Sharon cared deeply about her fellow educators and faithfully championed their well-being.

After moving to Brumley in 2002, she became a devoted member of the United Methodist Church and graciously stepped in to minister for Pastor Ron Orr during his battle with throat cancer. Sharon delighted in traveling and water skiing, but her greatest joy was the love she shared with her family as a wife, mother, grandmother, and stepmother.

She is survived by her husband, Donald McVicker; daughter, Elizabeth Usher and husband Braun Mitchel; two stepsons, Eric McVicker and wife Stacy and Steve McVicker; three grandchildren; Gregory Mitchel, Solvieg McVicker-Hirst, and Audrey McVicker; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Hazel Gregory.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., with services following at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, September 30, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home, 2247 Highway 17, Iberia, Missouri 65486. Pastor Ron Orr will officiate.

Interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood, 25350 Highway H, Waynesville, MO 65583.
