Shirley Lea Hensley, age 89, of Iberia passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born in Miller County on November 4, 1929, daughter of the late James Oliver and Millie (Bradley) Huddleston. On December 21, 1947, in Iberia, Shirley married Wendell Dallas Hensley, who preceded her in death on November 26, 1988.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and knitting, but family was the greatest joy of her life. Shirley was a member of Iberia Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by two sons, Dallas Hensley (Melody) and Bill Hensley (Ginger); four daughters, Janice Humphreys, Vicki Mace (Gene), Jackie Steen (Rodney), and Wendy Rowden (Kerry); 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two cousins, Faye Burris and Larry Huddleston.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Marshall Humphreys III and sister, Alma Ballard.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Thursday, March 14, at Iberia Church of the Nazarene with Bob Hamm officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
