Shirley Pritchett, age 74, of Iberia, passed away at home on Thursday, June 2, 2022.  She was born in Brumley on June 24, 1947, daughter of the late William Albert and Viola Luttrell.  On December 21, 1966, at Honey Springs Baptist Church in Brumley, Shirley was united in marriage to Jesse "Jess" Warren Pritchett, who survives at their home.

Shirley was a graduate of Iberia R-V.  She was a devoted employee at Iberia R-V for over 20 years in the dietary department and absolutely loved cooking and interacting with the students.  Shirley would often be found in her kitchen at home preparing food for her family.  She loved spending time outdoors mowing her yard and spent endless hours sewing and listening to music.  Shirley's life revolved around her close-knit family, who she loved unconditionally.  Shirley was a member of Honey Springs Baptist Church and attended Mason Ridge Church.

In addition to her husband, Jess, she is also survived by two sons, Kevin (Lawanda) Pritchett of Dixon and Tony Pritchett of Iberia; two daughters, Cindy (Joe) Ward and Holly Henderson both of Iberia; nine grandchildren, Jessica Yoakum, Candus Lawson, Joeseph Ward, Matthew Pritchett, Dillan Pritchett, Abby Henderson, Kellie Henderson, Bradley Vanvleck, and LeAnn Pritchett; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louisa Russell and Myra Heckert; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by an infant child; grandson, William Ward; great-grandson, Bentley Lawson; two brothers, John Luttrell and Vernon Luttrell; and two sisters, Mary Long and Wanda Gumm.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with service immediately following at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, June 6, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating.  Interment will be held in Madden Cemetery near Iberia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shirley Pritchett Memorial Fund.
