Starla Kaye Starr, age 50, of Weaubleau, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at her home. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on May 7, 1970, daughter of Willie Witt and Susan Kaye (Duncan) Overton.

Starla adored children and had a special bond with individuals with special needs. She had a caring heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Starla loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, who were her world. Starla was a member of Bible Way Church in Eldon.

She is survived by two sons, Dylan Witt (Brittany) and Dalton Starr (Monica); six grandchildren, Elias, Journey, Wyatt, Marshall, Bentley, and Savage; mother, Susan Overton (Buster); five siblings, David Wayne Witt (Teena), Josh Witt (Heather), Angel Grudnieski (Andy), Amy Lopez, and Thomas Lopez; four step siblings, Josh Overton, Trenton Overton, Alyssa Overton, and Blaine Overton; and numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Witt.

Visitation will be held from 12 (noon) to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Thursday, February 25, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
