Stephen L. "Steve" Gladden, age 66, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at his home. He was born in Crocker on April 11, 1953, son of the late Burle Lee and Ada Kathryn (Keeble) Gladden. On November 29, 1986, in Louisiana, Steve married Sherrie McPheron, who survives at the home.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman and a fan of the NHRA, his favorite driver was John Force. He worked at Kraml Wood Products for sixteen years and later for Miller County until his retirement in 2018.

In addition to his loving wife of 32 years, Sherrie Gladden, he is also survived by two sisters, Wanda Sanderson and Mary Kay Sutton (Lester) both of Iberia; two brothers, John Gladden (Donna) and Robert Gladden (Flo) both of Iberia; father-in-law, Clarence "Mac" McPheron (Susan) of Louisiana; sister-in-law, Selena Leet (Mark) of Louisiana; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Wayne Gladden.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon), with services immediately following at 12 p.m. (noon), on Saturday, May 4, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Brian Duncan officiating. Interment will be held in Iberia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Steve Gladden Memorial Fund.
