Obituary

Susan T. Schulte, age 65, of Dixon, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Oak Pointe of Rolla.  She was born in St. Joseph, MO on July 11, 1956, daughter of the late Donald and Alma Mae (Winborn) Tritten.  On August 22, 1987, Susan was united in marriage to George Schulte, who survives at their home.

Susan was a graduate of Emporia High School and attended Emporia State Teachers College.  She followed in the footsteps of her parents and went to work in banking.  She later owned and operated an antique store and helped her husband George on the family farm.

Susan had a positive personality and a passion for the outdoors, antiquing, collecting throughout the years, and decorating her home.  Christmas was her favorite time of year and she enjoyed preparing and decorating her home for the holiday season.  Susan enjoyed music and dancing.  In her spare time, she volunteered for various organizations including the Iberia Christian Youth Center and the Good Samaritan Center.

She loved spending time with her family who were her greatest joy in life.  Susan was a member of Iberia First Baptist Church and Sheppard Baptist Church in Dixon.

In addition to her husband, George Schulte, she is also survived by her daughter, Mendy Mullins (Chauncey) of Rolla; two sons, Nathan Purdome (Andrea) of St. Croix, VI, and Kyle Purdome (Teresa) of Oldfield; seven beloved grandchildren, Chauncey Mullins Jr., Bryer Mullins, Zoey Blomberg, Addison Purdome, Kayla Purdome, Kylie Purdome, and Kali Purdome; brother, David Tritten (Liz) of Waynesville; sister, Beth Wright (Rick) of Iberia; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, at Iberia First Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Bryant officiating.  Interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery in Waynesville.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Friday, February 25, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Good Samaritan of the Ozarks.
