(Graves) Green
July 4, 1981 – March 23, 2026
TaNeà Marie (Graves) Green, age 44, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026. She was born in Tuscumbia on July 4, 1981, daughter of Thomas Montgomery “Monty” and Stephanie Laura (Howard) Graves.
TaNeà graduated from Tuscumbia High School. She went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree at University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Education-Counseling degree from Stephens College.
Among other endeavors, she co-owned and operated an event venue in Jefferson City, counseled adolescents and adults, and worked as a research analyst for the Missouri Office of State Courts Administrator. Above all else, she worked diligently to improve the lives of the needy and less fortunate.
As a young girl, she like to dance, sing, shoot off fireworks. TaNeà travelled to the plains of Africa, the rainforests of Costa Rica, and the springs of Arkansas, often accompanied by her mother. She was a writer, painter, and photographer. She could often be found along the banks of Brushy Fork Creek exploring or entertaining her friends. During her long fight with breast cancer, she liked to dance, sing, and shoot off fireworks. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Stephanie Graves; maternal grandmother, Nancy Graves; coparent, Kasey Green; son, Eddie Holland; grandchildren, Elias Ezzell, Jameson Grubbs, and Waylon Grubbs; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Monty Graves; brother, Thomas Tyson Graves; maternal grandparents, Paul and Marjorie Howard; and paternal grandfather, Tom Graves; and daughter, Chelsie Roper.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
