Theadore "Ted" Henry Herx, age 59, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born in Iberia on May 21, 1955, son of the late John Bernard and Marie (Gudemann) Herx. On August 22, 1981, in St. Anthony, Ted married Lesa Doerhoff, who survives at the home.

Ted owned and operated Metal Kraft Welding and Fabrication, LLC and was an avid drag racing fan.

He is also survived by two brothers, John Herx and wife Kathy of Eldon and Ed Herx of St. Anthony; one sister, Kathy Finch and husband Earl of St. Anthony; mother-in-law, Gladys Doerhoff of St. Elizabeth; seven nieces, four nephews, and twenty-two great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three brothers-in-law, Gary Doerhoff and wife Dianne of Norfolk, Virginia, Darrell Doerhoff and wife Rose of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; and Randy Doerhoff and wife Diane of Cottleville.

He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lambert Doerhoff; one sister-in-law, Carla Atchison and husband Dave; and one nephew, Roger Guzman.

A memorial celebration of Ted's life will be held at the Herx home on Saturday, March 21, from 1.p.m. to 4p.m.
