Thomas Edward Crider, age 73, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his home. He was born in Sacramento, California, on June 2, 1940, son of the late Ernest Eugene and Ellen Juliebell (Key) Crider. On June 7, 1958, in Reno, Nevada, Thomas married Viccie Ann Chambers, who survives at the home.

Thomas was an avid singer. He always enjoyed helping others and will be missed by many. He was employed by Caltrans for over 15 years. Thomas was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is also survived by four daughters, Denise Priest of California, Jana Corbitt of Jefferson City, Carol Thornton of Iberia, and Debra Crider of Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorene Norris of Ione, California; Delores DeRosa of Idaho, and Priscilla Pitts of Ione, California; and several relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life in honor of Thomas Crider will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at the Iberia City Park.
