Thomas “Tom” Wilford Humphrey, age 72, of Iberia, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was born in Iberia, on August 1, 1953, son of the late Wilford Loren and Ina Ruth (Holeyfield) Humphrey.

Tom was an avid hunter, who loved moments spent outdoors. Above all, Tom deeply valued time with his family, with a special fondness for his grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness. His sharp sense of humor and playful spirit made him a joy to be around, and he loved sharing laughter and jokes with his friends. Tom’s strong Christian faith was an important part of his life, and he was a dedicated member of Mt. Gilead Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lori (Burnett) Humphrey; three children, Shelby Humphrey Nelson, Wes Humphrey, and Danielle (Matt) Humphrey; four grandchildren, Allyson Humphrey, Ashlynn Humphrey, Zoey Doyle, and Beckett Humphrey; six siblings, Peggy Marso, Cathy Winfrey, Janette Campbell, Vicky Nelson, Jim Humphrey, and Will Humphrey; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Ina Humphrey; and five siblings, Betty Schmidt, Joann Belk, David Humphrey, Joyce Ray, and Rick Nelson.

Tom’s final wishes were to have a private Celebration of Life.
